We recently reviewed the amazing RODECaster PRO, a device that simplifies podcasting so that just about anyone can create their own high-quality production. Let’s show you how to get your podcast going in 90-seconds with the RODECaster PRO!

Set Up Your Podcast In 90-Seconds With the RODECaster PRO
Welcome to MysteryBlock! Today we’re going to introduce to you the RODECaster PRO by Rode and show you how to create a podcast in 90 seconds flat!
The RODECaster PRO is a savvy piece of tech that makes podcasting an absolute breeze. With the RODECaster PRO you can literally get up and running in a matter of minutes. Take a finished podcast and have it up for your listeners in about 15 minutes with very little to no post-production.
Set Up
With that said, let’s get started!
Start by plugging in the 12-volt power cable to the back of the unit.
Take your XLR microphones and plug them in to the back of the RODECaster PRO. Plug in headphones so your guests can hear themselves when speaking. If you are running the podcast be sure to plug your headphones into the front of the unit in order to monitor each individual volume channel.
Next, insert a MicroSD card if you’re going to be recording for an extended period of time. The 512MB of onboard memory may not be enough.
At this time power on the unit.
Record
Run a quick check and adjust your sliders to make sure your microphone volumes are at a good level and aren’t clipping or redlining. You can also adjust the individual onboard settings on the RODECaster PRO.
Make sure your sound pad volume is adjusted to your liking and all necessary sounds are preloaded to the board.
When you and your guests are ready to get started hit the giant record button and you are on your way!
When you’re finished hit that record button again to stop the recording. Remove the MicroSD card. Transfer the files into your favorite DAW for any last-minute touchups, export it, and finally upload it to your favorite podcast source.
Done!
Just like that, your podcast is ready for your audience! The RODECaster PRO’s onboard APHEX system handles most of the mixing for you so that you don’t have to! It’s really that easy! But do keep in mind just like with everything, taking the time to learn the ins and outs of the production process will even further enhance your overall production quality.
