After a long wait, it’s finally happening! Amazon Prime Day 2019 is here and tech fans are hardly containing their excitement, as the retail giant has prepared some hard to miss deals. And when we say ‘deals’, we mean a lot of them!
Like every year, it can be a real challenge to keep up with all the deals and, most importantly, sort out the best, so in order to help you avoid the madness and check out only the items that really matter, we’ve put together a list with five of the best tech deals you can find during this year’s Amazon Prime Day. Or Days, to be more specific, as it’s going to continue tomorrow as well.
But enough with the chit chat and let’s see what tech is worth splashing the cash on!
Amazon Fire TV Stick
If you’re among those who don’t own a smart TV yet and want to add a few cool features to your current setup, then this is the best way to go. And cheapest, of course.
The Amazon Fire TV stick may be the entry-level model, but it still comes with an Alexa-powered remote, so you can control your TV with your voice, besides giving you the possibility to use services like Netflix, Hulu or Amazon’s own Prime Video.
But this is not everything, as you will also receive $45 Sling TV credit, as part of the deal, not to mention the possibility to listen, without being interrupted by ads, to millions of songs, through Prime Music.
Is this one of the best deals ever or what?
Amazon Echo Show 2nd Gen
Next up, we have another Amazon product available for an excellent price on Prime Day, in the person of the Echo Show 2nd Gen.
With an improved 10” high-definition display and better sound quality, it’s basically best of both worlds, as it combines the features of the Echo Dot with those of a touchscreen you can easily use for both video calls and controlling your smart home appliances. Or, if you prefer, one of the best ways of enjoying Alexa!
Besides the regular features, offered by any of Amazon’s smart speakers, the Show takes it one step further, giving you the possibility to watch shows from Prime Video, stream live TV channels through Hulu, or even see music videos, directly from Vevo. As for the video calling features, besides doing this using the Alexa app, you can also rely on Skype and talk with anybody in the world, even if they don’t have an Echo Show.
Dell XPS 13
If a new laptop is what you’re after on Amazon Prime Day 2019, then you should stop searching, as what we’re going to talk about is an absolute steal! Yes, Amazon has been adding a bit to the initial price since the morning, but not enough to ignore the special price tag of the 2018 version of the 13-inch Dell XPS.
For just a bit under $1,000, you’re getting a huge amount of processing power hidden in a compact body: an 8th Gen Core i7-8550U chipset, able to reach even 4.0GHz, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, as well as Intel UHD Graphics 620. Add a 13.3” UHD display as well and the package is complete.
As for the few goodies this laptop comes with, we should mention the integrated fingerprint reader, HD webcam and the InfinityEdge Touch Display, the latter making it one of the best portable PCs of the moment.
iBuyPower gaming desktop
Even though we prefer building our own setups instead of opting for a pre-made one when it comes to desktop PCs, this model from iBuyPower is just too good to pass!
Amazon continues last year’s tradition offering a true gaming machine for a pocket-friendly price tag, considering the amount of power you’re getting. Sticking to the gaming department, this year’s Prime Day could be the best moment to get your hands on one of our favorite mechanical keyboards of the moment, the K95 RGB Platinum, from the folks over at Corsair. Because yes, they have some amazing peripherals in their portfolio as well!
This colorful model comes with mechanical Cherry MX Speed switches, as well as an entire row of extra macro keys, which can be used to assign simple keystrokes or even complex multi-key combos.
One thing that we really like about the Corsair K96 RGB Platinum is that it’s made with aircraft-grade anodized brushed aluminum, meaning that it’s going to pretty much last forever, no matter how much action it’s going to see. Oh, and it looks really cool with all that dynamic back-lighting!
